The Role:

  • Oversee and manage Global payroll functions for our Internal and Contractor workforce. 
  • Payroll back up to Internal and Global payroll processing during absences. 
  • Supervise and mentor Payroll Team along with our Off Shore Team. 
  • Support Director, Payroll on projects and ad hoc reports. 
  • Ensure compliance with provincial, state, federal and local payroll laws. 
  • Identify areas of process improvements and lead in the implementation of new processes. 
  • Subject Matter Expert to the Payroll and Off Shore Team 
  • Monitors the workflow, which may include delegating tasks, coordinate the training of new hires and coaching the team to be successful in their roles. 
  • Assist the team in resolving payroll issues in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Be the point of contact for any payroll escalations and respond in a timely manner. 
  • Deliver Quarterly and Year End processes. 
  • Gain working knowledge of the company’s payroll, timekeeping software (ADP WFN, ADP Celegro, ADP ICHM, ADP Vista, BullHorn1). 
  • Conduct semi annual and review performance reviews. 
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring and training of new hires. 

 
Who You Are

  • Payroll Designation (PLP, CPM) is an asset. 
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing (Canada/USA) along with management experience, preferably in a similar industry. 
  • Exposure to International Payrolls. 
  • Experience in processing high volume, multi province/state payrolls (Canada / USA) 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word 
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software packages (ADP WFN, ADP Celegro, ADP ICHM) and Time & Attendance systems. 
  • You lead with integrity and can influence and motivate to build strong teams.  
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. 

The salary range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $90,000.00 – $120,000.00.
