The Role

The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in driving financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to support Tundra’s growth strategy. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Delivery, and Leadership to provide insights, optimize pricing, and improve profitability across multiple geographies and staffing models. This is a hands-on, data-driven role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys turning numbers into actionable strategies.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the development of annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-term financial plans tailored to staffing revenue models (contractor gross margin, perm placement fees, project staffing, and program solutions).
  • Partner with Sales, Delivery, and Account Management to align financial targets with headcount plans and client demand.
  • Analyze market trends, bill/pay rate dynamics, and client profitability to inform pricing and growth strategies.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on revenue, margins, contractor hours, and placement trends.
  • Build dynamic financial models to forecast headcount growth, pay/bill spreads, and client program profitability.
  • Provide actionable KPIs to leadership, including fill ratios, time-to-fill, recruiter productivity, and contractor retention.

Burdens & Pricing Strategy

  • Oversee burdens across multiple geographies, including payroll taxes, statutory costs, workers’ comp, and benefits.
  • Provide accurate burden analysis to inform pricing models, client contracts, rebates, and compliance.
  • Support rate negotiations and advise leadership on pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

Strategic Partnership & Growth

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Delivery to improve profitability and scalability.
  • Provide insights to support new business opportunities, acquisitions, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities and optimize client program performance.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Enhance FP&A processes to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability of reporting and forecasting.
  • Drive the implementation of BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for better decision support.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, client contract terms, and audit requirements.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of FP&A or financial management experience, ideally within staffing, recruiting, or professional services.
  • You understand staffing revenue models (contractor margins, perm placement fees, burdens, and pay/bill spreads).
  • You bring strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills, with exposure to BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • You’re comfortable collaborating across Sales, Delivery, and Leadership to drive financial performance.
  • You thrive in high-growth environments and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
