Join Our Team
We are on the hunt for talented individuals passionate about a results-driven career and committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and candidates within the public sector space.
The Role
Tundra is undergoing a significant transformation of its data infrastructure – consolidating data across multiple enterprise systems of record into a single unified repository, and building AI-native reporting and intelligence capabilities to support decision-making across the business.
As part of this initiative, we are hiring a Leader, Data Quality & Governance to own the integrity of our data foundation. This role is central to the success of the broader data modernization program. You will lead a small team of data quality analysts, establish governance frameworks and standards, and work closely with our data and engineering leadership to help build the intelligent data layer that will power reporting, forecasting, and AI-driven workflows across the business.
This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape how Tundra uses data as a strategic asset.
Focus Data Quality Ownership
- Define and enforce data quality standards across all source systems and the unified data repository
- Transition the team away from manual, row-by-row review processes toward AI-assisted and automated data quality monitoring
- Build and maintain data quality scorecards, dashboards, and alerting pipelines
- Identify root causes of data issues and work cross-functionally to resolve them at the source
- Own the collaboration with the Enterprise Technology team and the AI & Innovation team for any solutions that can augment the overall data quality and the maintenance
Governance & Compliance
- Develop and maintain Tundra’s data governance framework — including data ownership, definitions, lineage, and access policies
- Establish and document data standards for key business entities across staffing, payroll, and direct sourcing functions
- Support internal compliance and certification requirements as they relate to data handling and governance
- Partner with legal, operations, and finance to ensure data handling aligns with regulatory requirements
Platform & Tooling
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Workday Adaptive Planning as it relates to data integrity and feed quality
- Collaborate with the engineering team on data pipelines, transformation logic, and integration points across enterprise source systems
- Support BI reporting infrastructure with clean, well-governed data models (Power BI experience an asset)
- Contribute to the development of our internal AI-powered data intelligence platform
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of data quality analysts
- Set priorities, manage workloads, and create a clear development path for team members
- Foster a culture of automation-first thinking — identifying where AI and tooling can replace manual effort
- Act as a bridge between the data quality team and the broader data and engineering function
- You will have the opportunity to apply your data solution framework to various industry sectors
Who You Are
Required
- 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data management roles
- Demonstrated experience building or modernizing a data quality function – not just maintaining one
- Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, specifically as it relates to data feeds, integrations, and reconciliation
- Ability to work with Power BI for data modeling, DAX, and reporting.
- Experience working across multiple enterprise systems (ATS, ERP, HRIS, or similar)
- Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work – whether for data profiling, anomaly detection, documentation, or workflow automation
- People management experience – you’ve led a small team and know how to develop analysts
- Strong communicator who can translate data quality issues into business impact for non-technical stakeholders
Must-Haves
- Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data pipeline concepts (ETL/ELT)
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience across multiple enterprise systems (ATS, ERP, HRIS, etc.)
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK or similar)
- Experience using AI tools for data quality/automation
