The Role:

We are seeking an Intermediate Data & Commissions Analyst to support our growing data and sales operations teams. This role will be responsible for designing insightful dashboards, conducting in-depth data analyses, and supporting the monthly commissions reporting process. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, experience with business intelligence tools, and an interest in driving operational efficiency through both data-driven insights and financial reporting accuracy.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data analysis and commissions reporting, supporting internal stakeholders with inquiries and data-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain monthly and ad hoc reports that provide visibility into key performance indicators, business trends, sales commissions, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Extract, clean, and integrate data from multiple internal systems (e.g., ATS, CRM, payroll) to generate clear and accurate reports.
  • Support monthly commission cycles by building and maintaining reports that ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of sales commission calculations and payouts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of commission discrepancies and collaborate with Sales, Finance, and HR to resolve issues proactively.
  • Document reporting methodologies and share best practices with team members through demonstrations, training, and written guides.
  • Work collaboratively with team leaders to gather feedback and incorporate stakeholder input into reporting and process improvements.
  • Lead and manage data and reporting projects of varying complexity, coordinating across functions to meet project objectives and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • 1–2 years of experience in a data analytics or commissions analyst role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights
  • Experience supporting or managing sales commissions processes is a strong plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities

The salary range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $60,000 – $68,000.
