The Role

The Chief Compliance & Governance Officer (CCGO) will lead Tundra’s centralized compliance and governance function – operating independently while partnering closely with business leaders. This is a hands-on leadership role. The CCGO will build frameworks, implement processes, and engage directly with operations to ensure governance is embedded in execution.

The role serves as:

  • Senior escalation point for compliance risk
  • Architect of governance infrastructure
  • Executive accountable for alignment between delivery, contracts, and regulation

Core Responsibilities
US Compliance Leadership

  • Own interpretation and operationalization of US staffing regulations
  • Lead worker classification governance across key states
  • Ensure compliance with evolving legislation
  • Oversee background screening and privacy standards
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel

Enterprise Compliance & Governance

  • Build and maintain global compliance framework
  • Establish proactive regulatory monitoring
  • Serve as enterprise escalation point

Program Delivery Compliance

  • Ensure alignment between client contracts and delivery execution
  • Audit programs across Direct Source, MSP, and EOR
  • Identify risks including margin leakage and structural exposure
  • Embed governance into operations

AI Governance

  • Define and implement AI governance framework
  • Maintain human-in-the-loop decision making
  • Ensure transparency and regulatory compliance
  • Partner with technology and data teams

Training & Adoption

  • Build structured compliance training programs
  • Embed compliance into onboarding and development
  • Drive adoption across teams

ISO & Audit

  • Own ISO certifications (9001, 27001, 14001, 42001)
  • Lead internal and external audits
  • Use certifications to drive discipline and differentiation

Risk Management

  • Identify and manage enterprise risk
  • Oversee insurance programs
  • Partner with finance and legal on risk exposure

Governance & Enforcement

  • Build enterprise audit function
  • Establish reporting frameworks
  • Enforce standards and corrective actions

Who You Are
Required

  • 15+ years in compliance, risk, or legal leadership
  • Strong US regulatory expertise
  • Experience building functions from the ground up
  • Multi-jurisdiction experience
  • Ability to influence senior leaders

Preferred

  • Staffing or workforce solutions experience
  • ISO experience
  • AI governance familiarity
  • M&A exposure

The base salary range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $225,000 – $325,000.

In addition to base, this role is eligible for a performance-based annual bonus and participation in Tundra’s long-term incentive program. Total compensation will be structured to reflect the seniority and impact of the role.
